Six Figure Mindset | Personal Branding : Its better to be Unique not Different ...
Scott Ginsberg mentions in his
blog different is not the same as unique, and I agree with him. The word
different is defined as "unlike" or "unusual," derived from the Latin
differre, or "to set apart, differ." And the word
unique is defined as "the only one," from the Latin
unicus, or "single, sole."
According to the Online Etymology Dictionary, the word unique also evolved to mean "remarkable or uncommon."
As an individual I view myself as a unique person (one-of-a-kind) because there is no one else out in the world who is an exact replica of me. And this is also true of how your clients need to perceive you.
Ask yourself this when you next describe yourself to an existing or new client ...
- Do your clients see you as different or unique?
- How do you want to be recognised in eyes of your clients?Tags:
